General Discipline

  • Students must be in the school, at least, ten minutes before the first bell.
  • She/ He must be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. The students must wear the school uniforms proper of the seasons.
  • It is vitally important that changes in residence/office addresses and telephone numbers should be communicated to the school office in writing at the earliest.
  • The School does not hold itself responsible for injuries sustained by students while in the School. However, First Aid will be rendered immediately, and injuries necessitating Hospital/OPD Treatment will be promptly administered to.
  • Students are advised not to have Private Tuition. Parents are urged to encourage their children to do their daily work diligently, promptly and honestly and to pay utmost attention to their studies in the class room.
  • Parents/Students (individually or collectively) are strictly prohibited to give gifts to the staff, even on special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
  • Collection of funds for whatsoever purpose is forbidden without prior permission of the Principal/Manager.
  • Students should behave politely, and avoid use of indecent language or harmful action, injurious to the feelings of fellow students, staff and others either in or outside the school premises. Any such behaviour, indicative of hurting other's caste, colour, culture, creed, community, etc. will incur serious disciplinary action or even dismissal.
  • No Student shall indulge in any of the following practices, viz.,
    • spitting and littering in and around school building,
    • disfiguring, scribbling on walls/desks,
    • damaging any school property,
    • smoking, chewing of betel or tobacco, betting or gambling, use of drugs or intoxicants of any nature,
    • rude behaviour, use of violence in any form, faning casteism and communalism, use of obscene and abusive language, causing hurt to the modesty of others, and
    • playing truant during school hours.
  • Violation of rules, regulations and discipline of the school is punishable including suspension or dismissal from the school. Such action will normally follow a written warning to allow rectification & improvement in conduct.
  • Immediate suspension and/or even expulsion will follow if the continued presence of the defaulting student is harmful to the physical and moral well-being of other students and of the school. If the violation is of serious nature, such as unfair practice at the examination, it will incur serious punishment including repetition in the same class.
  • In the absence of the teacher from the classroom, students will have to observe silence and obey the Monitor of the class. The Monitor has to report in writing to the Vice-Principal/ Principal /Manager of any extra ordinary events that take place in the class room during the presence or absence of the teachers.
  • Students may be required to take part in various co- curricular activities even after school hours. When so required, participation will be deemed compulsory.
  • Staying away from mandatory School Functions, including Annual Day and Sports Day, without prior permission and/or justification will be considered a serious/ grave offence.
  • English, being the medium of instruction in the school, the students must speak in English in the school premises at all times.
  • Students are answerable to School authorities for their conduct not only in school, but also for their general behaviour outside. Any report of objectionable conduct outside the school on the part of the students will necessitate disciplinary action. They are hereby reminded that their good behaviour enhances the prestige of the school.
  • A student involved in any incident even outside the school which brings discredit to the institution either because of unpleasant nature or inviting criminal or legal action by police or the court will be dismissed from school without further enquiry.
  • Every student must have the school diary which must be brought to the school every day. Apart from entering legibly the name and other personal data, he/she should desist from writing anything other than what relates to school work.
  • Pupils should not bring valuables or money to school unnecessarily. Students are strictly forbidden to possess or carry in person pictures, magazines, books and any type of electronic gadgets such as Cassettes, CDs, Cameras, Mobile phones, iPod, iPhone, iPad, PSPs etc. either in the classroom or in the school premises at any time. Such gadgets are not allowed even during exposure programmes and tours/ picnics organised by the school. If such things are found they will be confiscated and will not be returned and a fine of ₹500/- will be imposed.
  • Students are forbidden to bring any indecent materials in any form to school. Violation will incur strict disciplinary action, even dismissal from the school.
  • Pupils are forbidden to bring crackers, explosives, harmful instruments and other dangerous materials to the school.
  • Every student should take care of school properties. Intended or neglectful damages to school property are a serious breach of school discipline and will have to be made good by the defaulting student.
  • Students will remain at home when they are sick. Once they come to school, they will remain for the entire school hours. This rule applies even during the time of examination.
  • School Management support system will be utilized for the smooth functioning of the school.
